Mohonk Mountain House is a 155-year-old Victorian castle resort in New York’s Hudson Valley, renowned for its natural beauty, historic charm, and world-class hospitality. In 2024, the resort partnered with Tractorbeam to reimagine 

—modernizing UX, streamlining navigation, and elevating SEO to drive bookings, leads, and guest engagement.

Heritage brands pose a particular challenge: balancing history with modern expectations. Tractorbeam created a mobile-first site that reflects Mohonk’s timeless character while simplifying complex guest pathways. By clearly distinguishing day vs. overnight stays and reframing “What’s Included,” the site ensures guests find the right experience quickly and intuitively.

Strategy began with immersion. Tractorbeam conducted on-site research and a guest experience summit, developing personas and journey maps that informed every design choice. Inspired by category leaders in tech, retail, and wellness, the new site merges Mohonk’s immersive physical experience with a seamless digital one.

The redesigned mohonk.com turned complexity into clarity. With stronger SEO, streamlined funnels, and a guest-first approach, the site delivered immediate impact:
